Bus Policies
TERMS & CONDITIONS (T’s & C’s) FOR USE OF SCHOOL BUS SERVICE:
1. This agreement is made between all school bus passengers, their parents, or guardians and Euroclass Visionary Academy (EVA), to provide a safe and comfortable transport.
2. Transport on the School Bus Service is arranged for a full term or entire academic year. Bookings and payment must be made 2 weeks before the commencement of the term and not later than 1 week into the School’s First Bank Account 2041806957 to avoid refusing your child from entering the bus. Parents are advised to keep their payment receipts safely as they may be asked to provide it at any point in time by the school authority, and failing to do so, it will be concluded that such payment have not been made and the full amount will be demanded for by the school authority.
3. Each child for whom a booking and full payment has been made, will be added in the bus’ register, detailing what travel has been paid for.
4. Due to high demand of our bus service, it is the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian to give the school a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice in writing if they no longer wish for their child to use the Bus Service, to avoid incurring 2 weeks charges.
5. If for any reason you wish your child to use 50% of the School Bus Service, you must make this known to the school authority ahead of time. You will then be advised by the transport department.
6. Euroclass Visionary Academy and their transport partners may store, process and share personal data for the purpose of administering the School Bus Service.
Parents Agree on Behalf of Pupil that:
1. No child is permitted to travel on the school Bus if they are not with their bus pass.
2. Children must travel to and from School in full School Uniform or School sports kit.
3. All passengers will ensure they wait for the bus safely and wait patiently for passengers to get on and off the bus to maintain orderliness.
4. Misbehaviour on School Buses will not be tolerated, and pupils may be banned from using the service. Examples of misbehaviour include bullying, shouting, use of foul language, dropping litter, playing music, putting bags on seats thereby preventing other passengers from sitting down, or any other misconduct.
5. Whilst on the School Bus, all passengers must accept, without question, the authority of a member of EVA staff or their representative.
6. No passenger must distract the bus driver.
7. All passengers will never throw anything out of the bus window.
8. Pupils will be ready for pick-up at the relevant bus stop at least 5 minutes before the school bus scheduled time, and you acknowledge and agreed that if the pupil is not ready for pick-up at the time specified, the bus will be under no obligation to wait for the pupil.
9. Parent and child are aware of the financial consequences of vandalism on the bus. Any damage caused by a child on the bus will be the parents/guardian’s responsibility.
10. The Parents’/Guardian’s correct phone number as well as emergency number must be provided to the driver in case of emergency.
Breakdown and Delays
The school gives its advice on journey time in good faith. However, as a result of breakdown or traffic congestion, or other events beyond the reasonable control of the school, journeys may take longer than predicted and in those circumstances the school will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience suffered by parents and pupils as a result. Parents will however be notified immediately in such circumstances.
In the case of a breakdown or repairs that will last for up to 2 days, it is solely the responsibility of the parents to bring their children to school. In the other hand, it is the duty of the school to find a replacement bus in case of more than 2 days repair. However, any of the above breakdown/repairs will be communicated to parents as soon as reasonably possible. Parents/Guardians will however be entitled to a refund which is to be calculated on daily basis.
· Termination by the parents: You are entitled to terminate these terms and conditions at any time provided at least 2 weeks’ notice is given to the authority. Failing to do so will result in incurring 2 weeks charges.
· Termination by the school: EVA reserves the right to terminate these Terms and Conditions with maximum of 1 week notice if any misconduct is proved.
Failure to comply with this terms and conditions may result in disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent removal from the service.
By signing this Terms & Conditions, you have agreed to adhere to these policies and your child has now been offered a place for the school bus service.
NOTE: These T’s & C’s are subject to amendment in future. Hence, EVA reserves the right to amend the transportation fees at any point in time to reflect the economic situation of the country.
